Orchard Spider, Leucauge venusta(?)I wasn't planning to post spiders next, but I haven't identified my dragons yet, so... Where do I begin with spiders? They're in every corner and crevice of the yard, each one doing great work. Here are a cool few.
Spined Micrathena, Micrathena gracilis. I like the name Micrathena - It makes me think "tiny goddess." The species name gracilis means slender or slight. (click photo for larger image)
Micrathena viewed from underneath web (not so pretty)
crab spider (too many too late to I.D. this one)
